Pedro Energy Boss Named Among 100 Ghana Legends, Calls For More Investment In Oil & Gas

The Group Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Pedro Energy PLC, Eng. Dr. Peter Debrah, has been honoured as one of Ghana’s 100 Most Legendary Leaders at the 100 Ghana Legendary Honours, Leadership Conference and Recognitions 2026, organized by The Business Executive.

The event, which is in its 15th year, celebrates 100 individuals whose works have impacted Ghana’s economy across politics, business, finance and social impact.

In a brief after receiving the honor, Dr. Debrah said the recognition is a call to do more. Pedro Energy PLC, he noted, is a global engineering firm operating in oil, gas, marine and hydro engineering services with presence in 13 countries, headquarters in Texas, and a workforce of 1,736 across the globe.

He revealed the company has operated in Ghana since 2012, providing offshore engineering services, and is now seeking partnerships and investment to expand its operations in Ghana’s oil and gas sector.

According to him, the petroleum industry offers opportunities for everyone; from fabricators to service providers and requires collaboration to succeed.

“Yes, it’s possible. We are seeking investment, we are seeking partnership because we cannot do it alone… there is a great avenue for everyone to come and play their part.”

On challenges in the sector, the engineer said risk is part of every industry and should not deter young entrepreneurs.

“You have to overlook the risk and get yourself involved in it and then you have yourself success. There is failure in daily life and out of failure you will be able to build yourself and build your career.”

Things are done without applause from anywhere until one day you get the applause and you notice that, so then that means I have to achieve more… If 100 members meaning that I have to do another 100 addition to what I have done so far.”
