A major tourism and economic development initiative is set to take shape in Cape Coast following overwhelming support from stakeholders and members of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly for EN.AR Limited’s proposed Bakano Resort Project.
The ambitious project, spearheaded by Cape Coast-based EN.AR Limited, aims to transform the city into a leading destination for tourism, leisure, recreation, and entertainment while creating substantial employment and business opportunities for residents.
Rooted in the company’s core values of Humility, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence, the Bakano Resort Project is envisioned as more than a hospitality facility. It is a strategic investment designed to stimulate economic growth, enhance tourism, and contribute significantly to the long-term development of Cape Coast.
According to EN.AR Limited, the project is expected to create between 295 and 325 direct and indirect jobs during both the construction and operational phases. Employment opportunities will be available across several sectors, including construction, hospitality, administration, security, transportation, tourism services, and maintenance.
The company further disclosed that the project forms part of a broader vision that could generate more than 500 jobs through associated businesses and complementary ventures. This is expected to create sustainable livelihoods for many residents while boosting entrepreneurship and strengthening the local economy.
As part of its commitment to community development, EN.AR Limited intends to engage local artisans, contractors, suppliers, and service providers throughout the project’s implementation. This approach is aimed at ensuring that the economic benefits generated by the resort remain within the community and directly support local businesses.
Speaking during a presentation of the project, the Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly, Hon. George Justice Arthur, expressed his excitement about the initiative and pledged the Assembly’s full support. He assured the company that the Assembly would facilitate the smooth processing of all necessary documentation and approvals to ensure the successful commencement of the project.
“The development of projects such as this is essential to the growth of Cape Coast. As an Assembly, we are committed to supporting initiatives that create jobs, attract investment, and improve the lives of our people,” he indicated.
The Bakano Resort Project also places strong emphasis on community engagement, cultural preservation, innovation, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion. By combining modern hospitality standards with the rich cultural heritage of Cape Coast, the resort is expected to provide visitors with a unique experience while preserving the city’s identity and traditions.
Representing EN.AR Limited, Nana Dadzie reaffirmed the company’s commitment to creating lasting value for future generations. He described the project as a catalyst for economic transformation that will not only increase tourism revenue but also attract investment, support local enterprises, and enhance the overall quality of life within the metropolis.
Assembly Member for the project area, Brother Benjamin, together with other Assembly Members present at the engagement, unanimously endorsed the proposal and pledged their support towards its successful realization. They emphasized the need for collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure that the project achieves its intended goals and delivers lasting benefits to the people of Cape Coast.
