Sultan Cares to Provide Free Health Screening for Over 700 Ashaiman Residents

Over 700 residents in Ashaiman are expected to benefit from a free health screening program put together by the Sultan Cares Foundation.

The community-wide initiative is geared toward combating non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and improving health access for residents.

The Sultan Cares is an initiative committed to supporting and empowering people across the Ashaiman Community through practical interventions that improve lives and create opportunities.

The Free Health Screening is one of the key projects under the Sultan Cares program, where residents will be screened for hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and kidney diseases in various communities.

The first phase will be rolled out on Saturday, October 11, where 100 beneficiaries around the Ashaiman Main Station will have firsthand patient and health professional consulting while providing intensive public health education.

The next stage will see another 100 beneficiaries in the Asensuba suburb attended to by health officials, as the project will be extended to various communities until the target is reached.

The Sultan Cares, as part of its mission, will introduce a Skills Acquisition Programme in Ashaiman, where 10-20 young people will be selected and equipped with opportunities for self-reliance.

The project seeks to provide entrepreneurship skills and training while creating livelihood opportunities to contribute towards the fight against unemployment.

According to the founder of Sultan Cares, Mr Sultan Idrissu, there are more initiatives in the pipeline because the good people of Ashaiman are willing to serve, listen, act, and create opportunities as they deserve better.

He emphasized that these are not promises but believes that it takes a pragmatic approach to start and grow in a gradual process.

Mr. Iddrisu added that leadership goes beyond speaking about the challenges in communities but taking the bold step to create real change.
