Ghanaian defender Frank Akoto earned the Man of the Match honors when his side One Taguig brushed aside Mendiola FC 1991 9-0 in the Philippines on Saturday.
The former Legon Cities skipper found the back of the net twice in their emphatic victory, taking his tally to three goals in four games.
Aldeguer opened the scoring in the 29th minute and added his second seven minutes later. Two more from Naoto in the 23rd and 45th minutes respectively.
A brace from Akoto in the 30th and 60th minutes, before a goal each from Goldeson, Bias and Lim in the 59th, 88th and 89th minutes accordingly to complete the demolition exercise for One Taguig.
With a solid-performance in the heart of defense, extending One Tanguig’s clean sheets to four in a row.
Akoto has settled well in his new home, already winning the hearts of many with his calmness and leadership qualities.
He joined One Taguig in September this season, after parting ways with now relegated side Legon Cities.
Akoto established himself as one of the finest during his over six seasons in the Division One and Premier League, having featured for Heart of Lions, Ashantigold SC and Legon Cities.
