YEA, Camfed Ghana Teams Up To Empower Women & Persons With Disabilities

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has announced a partnership with Camfed Ghana through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at empowering young women and persons with disabilities across the country.

In a post on the agency’s official Facebook page, YEA described the agreement as part of a broader commitment to inclusive empowerment and equal employment opportunities for all, particularly vulnerable groups.

According to the statement, the partnership with Camfed Ghana is a strategic step to scale up initiatives that promote equity in employment.

YEA Chief Executive Officer, Malik Basintale, in the post, reaffirmed the agency’s dedication to ensuring that no one is left behind in national development efforts.

He highlighted ongoing projects such as the YEA-GIZ collaboration, which provides training and job opportunities in the fashion industry for persons with disabilities.

He also disclosed plans to launch a specialized Catfish Farming Program tailored to provide sustainable livelihoods for the same demographic.

Mr. Basintale described the partnership with Camfed as a “significant milestone” in building a more inclusive and equitable Ghana.
