Cape Coast Technical University rolls out Agenda 4K to expand enrolment

Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) has officially launched Agenda 4K, a strategic initiative aimed at significantly increasing student enrolment and expanding access to technical and vocational education.

Speaking at a press soirée with members of the media, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye, said the initiative seeks to enrol 4,000 students in the next academic year and sustain that target in the years ahead.

According to the Vice Chancellor, the success of Agenda 4K will depend on strong collaboration with key stakeholders. He noted that the university is actively engaging the media, churches, senior high schools, public and private institutions, alumni, and community leaders to promote Cape Coast Technical University and encourage more prospective students to choose the institution.

Prof. Boakye explained that the media, in particular, has a vital role to play in showcasing the university’s academic programmes, practical training opportunities, research, and achievements to the public. He said increased visibility will help attract qualified applicants from across Ghana and beyond.

To support the anticipated growth in student numbers, the university is also taking steps to expand its infrastructure. The Vice Chancellor disclosed that management is working to secure additional land for future development, including the construction of more lecture facilities, laboratories, and student accommodation to ensure a conducive learning environment.

He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to providing industry-focused education that equips graduates with practical skills to meet the demands of the job market, expressing confidence that Agenda 4K will position Cape Coast Technical University for sustained growth and greater national impact.

The launch of Agenda 4K reflects the university’s determination to strengthen its academic footprint, increase access to quality technical education, and build strategic partnerships that will support its long-term development.
