Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, has been at the forefront of fostering international relations as he embarks on a mission to strengthen ties with Jamaica.
Following a productive meeting with Jamaica’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith (MP), on the sidelines of the OACPS summit in Brussels, Minister Ablakwa announced a landmark bilateral partnership focusing on the exchange of skilled professionals.
Under this new initiative, Jamaica is set to welcome nurses and teachers from Ghana, a move aimed at enhancing both nations’ healthcare and education sectors.

In his remarks following the meeting, Minister Ablakwa highlighted the importance of high-level political consultations between Ghana and Jamaica.

Together, we can expand the frontiers of our inseparable historical relations.”
