Ghanaian mobile data users can now enjoy enhanced data bundle packages at no extra cost, thanks to new directives from the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations.
As of July 1, 2025, telecom operators MTN Ghana, AT Ghana, and Telecel Ghana are offering significantly increased data bundles without adjusting prices.
MTN Ghana’s GH¢399 bundle now offers 214GB of data, up from 92.88GB previously available at GH¢350.
Other bundles will see a 15% increase in data volume. AT Ghana customers will now get 236GB of data for GH¢400, compared to the previous 195GB. Telecel Ghana’s GH¢400 bundle now delivers 250GB of data, up from 90GB.
The Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations engaged all stakeholders to arrive at a fair position for consumers.
The updated packages aim to improve digital access and affordability across Ghana, with consumers receiving at least 10% more data on their existing packages.
The National Communications Authority has been directed to monitor the implementation of the new bundles and apply sanctions to any operator that fails to comply.
The NCA will also conduct quarterly billing integrity tests starting in Q3 2025 to verify accurate billing practices across popular apps and websites.
