Father-daughter Collabo: Gyakie To Release Masterpiece Featuring Nana Acheampong

Ghana’s songbird, Gyakie, has exciting news for fans. The Afro-fusion singer has confirmed that a collaboration with her father, legendary highlife musician Nana Acheampong, is on the horizon.

During a recent interview on the Drive Time show with Lexis Bill on Joy 99.7fm, Gyakie was asked a fan’s question: would she prefer to collaborate with her sister or father?

Gyakie revealed she will start from her father, citing that fans are eagerly anticipating a joint project.

She also hinted that she already has unreleased tracks with her dad and that her debut album “After Midnight” holds a sneak peek into what’s to come from this highly anticipated collaboration.

Specifically, her song “Y2K luv” which features Omar Sterling on her maiden album samples her Father’s classic hit “Anka Ebeye Den”

“I think everybody is anticipating a song with my Dad from time so I will start from my Dad and give it to the people”. Wait, we actually do have the songs, they just have to come out, that’s why I sampled him on the album so they know it’s coming. I have a sample of my Dad Anka Ebeye den on Y2K luv with Omar Sterling”, she said.

This father-daughter collaboration promises to bring a unique blend of traditional highlife and modern Afro-fusion sounds. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release, excited to see these two talented artists come together.

The songstress is currently promoting her maiden album titled “After Midnight” which features the likes of Shatta Wale, Headie One, 6lack, Money Radical and Young Jonn.
