The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Abubakar Sedik, has demonstrated his commitment to motivating staff to achieve excellence in their duties.
On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at a staff durbar held in Mankranso, the District capital, Mr. Sedik announced that he would be donating one month salary to reward the three best staff of the Assembly at the end of the year 2025.
The DCE’s gesture is aimed at motivating staff to work selflessly and support him in achieving his goal of developing the District.
By rewarding the best staffs, Mr. Sedik hopes to encourage a culture of excellence and dedication among the Assembly’s staff. “I am here to empower you to do your best for the development of our people,” he stated.
While announcing the reward, the DCE also charged the staff to be punctual at work and desist from habitual absenteeism.
He emphasized the importance of discipline and commitment in achieving the Assembly’s goals.
The DCE has tasked the District Coordinating Director to put together a committee that will select the three best staff based on their performance.
The committee will determine the criteria for selection, and the one month’s salary donated by the DCE will be shared among the winners.
The DCE’s gesture is a welcome move that is likely to boost the morale of workers in the Assembly.
By recognizing and rewarding excellence, Mr. Sedik is encouraging a culture of hard work and dedication that will ultimately benefit the development of the District.
