The National Election Security Task Force (NESTF), led by Inspector General of Police, Dr. Akuffo Dampare, has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a peaceful and secure electoral process.
In a press briefing at the NESTF Press Center, National Police Headquarters, Accra, Dr. Dampare emphasized that the task force is fully prepared to tackle machoism and deal with victims in accordance with the law.
This assurance comes after a meeting with leaders of various political parties to finalize security arrangements ahead of the upcoming general elections.
The task force’s proactive approach aims to prevent electoral violence and maintain law and order throughout the electoral process.
The Electoral Commission (EC) and the Police Administration have been working closely to ensure the success of the elections.
In fact, the team reactivated the Elections Security Task Force in 2020 to address election security issues effectively.
