The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, have donated freezers to 45 Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) as part of efforts to promote economic empowerment, self-reliance, and improved livelihoods within the metropolis.
Additionally, two fufu pounding machines were presented, while others received educational support funds to assist with their schooling.

The Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur used the opportunity to advise beneficiaries to put the items to good use and generate income to improve their living conditions at home.

The Metro Director for Social Welfare and Community Development, Okine Mustapha Areee, also advised caregivers of persons with disabilities to support them in making effective use of the items presented.

This initiative underscores CCMA’s commitment to inclusive development and social protection for vulnerable groups.
