The Women of Valour initiative, founded by media personality Nana Aba Anamoah, yesterday hosted a powerful event dubbed “Seats of Strength” at the Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, Accra.
The gathering brought together hundreds of breast cancer survivors, women fighting the disease, health professionals, and supporters to share experiences and encourage one another.

The event was part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities, aimed at promoting early detection, reducing stigma, and supporting those affected by the disease.
Nana Aba Anamoah emphasized the importance of collective strength and courage in the face of adversity, stating, “To every woman fighting, every woman healing, every woman standing in support — we want to remind you that Seats of Strength is here for you.”

Obuobia Darko-Opoku, Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (MahamaCares) Secretariat, delivered an inspiring message to survivors and those still fighting breast cancer.
“To those still fighting, you are not alone, your battle is our battle. Your scars are not symbols of defeat, they are marks of survival,” she said.
The event highlighted the need to create a supportive environment where people can openly discuss their experiences without fear of judgment.

By sharing their stories, breast cancer survivors can inspire others and help break down stigma surrounding the disease.
As part of the event, some lucky breast cancer survivors won a fully funded trip to London to participate in the upcoming Women of Valour program in the United Kingdom planned to take place in march next year.

This gesture serves as a testament to the Nana Aba’s commitment to empowering women and promoting breast cancer awareness.
The Women of Valour initiative, frontline by Nana Aba Anamoah, aims to recognize and celebrate women with remarkable stories of courage.
The program provides a platform for women to share their experiences, support one another, and inspire future generations.
By hosting events like “Seats of Strength,” Women of Valour continues to make a positive impact in the lives of women and girls, promoting breast cancer awareness and empowerment.
