Promising youngster Francis Amoako has secured a spot in the final squad for the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Team ahead of the 2026 MTN Elite U-19 Championship.
Amoako, who plies his trade with Division Two side Emmanuel City Football Club, has been a standout performer for the club during the 2025/26 season, earning praise for his Player of the Match performances and leadership skills on and off the field.
He is highly versatile; Amoako primarily operates as a center back, but he has demonstrated on several occasions how effective and consistent he can be and how he can adapt and be deployed to play as a right back and in defensive midfield.
Amoako, who is represented by Sp Sport Management, is known for his work rate, awareness, discipline, and physical commitment.
Also, his strong willingness to learn and long-term ambition to progress into a professional footballer and compete on bigger platforms shows his eagerness to show the world his talent.
Speaking to KobbyKyeinews, the Chief Executive Officer of SP Sport Management, Mr. Samuel Darkwa Agyei, was full of joy for his player.
According to him, Francis Amoako’s gradual rise to stardom is a great achievement for his family, club, and everyone who supported his journey.

The MTN Elite U-19 Championship is a key component of the Ghana Football Association’s “Power to the Youth” initiative, which seeks to establish a structured pathway for young footballers to progress from grassroots development into the professional game and national teams.
The second edition of the competition brings together 10 Regional Football Association (RFA) U-19 teams, providing a national platform for some of Ghana’s most promising young footballers to demonstrate their talent, discipline, teamwork, and competitive character.
The 11-day championship, which kicked off on Tuesday, August 25, at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, will run until Friday, September 4, 2026, where emerging players will have the opportunity to gain valuable competitive experience, attract attention from scouts and technical observers, and take another step towards professional football and national-team opportunities.
Team Greater Accra will square off with Brong Ahafo in Group B on Wednesda where Amoako Francis is expected to play an integral part for team Greater Accra.
