Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyabeng Accused Of Abuse Of Power.

Family of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has come forward with serious allegations against the Special Prosecutor, claiming an abuse of office and manipulation of evidence in an ongoing legal matter.

Ofori-Atta, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, has been declared a fugitive despite offering to cooperate with authorities virtually.

In a strongly worded statement released today, his family denounced what they termed a “public lynching,” asserting that Ofori-Atta has not been formally charged with any crime.

They argue that the actions taken against him are unjust and violate due process.

In light of these allegations, the family has petitioned INTERPOL to reverse the Red Notice issued against Ofori-Atta.

They maintain that the legal proceedings are flawed and emphasize their anticipation of a ruling from the Human Rights Court, which is expected on June 18.

The situation has garnered significant attention as it raises questions about due process and the treatment of individuals undergoing medical challenges within the legal system.

As the case unfolds, many are watching closely to see how it will impact both Ofori-Atta’s future and broader discussions surrounding legal rights in Ghana.
