Samuel Atta-Mills supports over 500 KEEA SHS freshers with educational materials

Member of Parliament for the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (K.E.E.A.) Constituency, Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills, has supported more than 500 newly admitted Senior High School (SHS) students in the municipality with essential educational materials.

Each beneficiary received a student trunk, chop box, mattress, mosquito net and school books to help ease the financial burden on parents and guardians as the students begin their SHS education.

The initiative forms part of the MP’s continued efforts to support education and assist students from the K.E.E.A. Municipality in their academic journey.

As part of the programme, two students who distinguished themselves in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) were also recognised for their outstanding academic performance.

The two best-performing BECE students were each presented with GH¢1,000 by the MP as a reward for their excellent performance in the final examination.

Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills urged the beneficiaries to take their education seriously, study harder and remain focused on achieving academic excellence.

He encouraged the students to make good use of the opportunity given to them and assured them of his commitment to supporting their educational journey.

The MP indicated that he would continue to do everything possible within his capacity to assist the students and help create an enabling environment for them to succeed in their studies.

The intervention is expected to provide some relief to parents while motivating the students to work harder and make the K.E.E.A. Municipality proud through their academic achievements.
