Bel-Aqua Launches ‘Take a Break’ Initiative for Corporate Ghana and Communities

Bel-Aqua Mineral Water has launched its Take a Break Mental Health Clinic, a new initiative aimed at promoting healthier conversations, reflection and access to professional support across workplaces, schools and communities.

The initiative was officially launched on Friday, September 25, with a pilot session at the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) Head Office, bringing together the organisation’s Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and staff.

The session was facilitated by Clinical Psychologist Dr. Seth Mawusi Asafo of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, who shared practical guidance on managing stress, navigating emotional challenges and maintaining balance amid the demands of work and everyday life.

The leadership and staff of the Ghana Free Zones Authority welcomed the engagement and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to have an open and practical conversation around issues that affect employees.

A Focus on Corporate Ghana

The initiative is designed to take the conversation beyond a single workplace. Bel-Aqua plans to engage corporate institutions, schools and communities, creating opportunities for people to pause, reflect and access professional guidance.

According to Bel-Aqua, modern work and social environments can place significant demands on individuals, making it important to create intentional spaces where people can step back, reconnect and address challenges before they become overwhelming.

The program is being championed by the Marketing Department of Bel-Aqua, led by Head of Marketing Christopher Addo-Sarkodie, as part of the brand’s wider social impact agenda.

Taking a Break with Purpose

The initiative builds on Bel-Aqua’s Take-A-Break advocacy platform, which encourages people to make time for themselves and recognize the importance of rest, reflection and seeking help when necessary.

Rather than treating wellbeing as a conversation only when challenges arise, Bel-Aqua is encouraging workplaces and communities to make it part of everyday life.

The company plans to work with qualified professionals and partner organization’s as the program reaches more people across Ghana.

A Conversation Bel-Aqua Wants to Take Across Ghana

The successful launch at the Ghana Free Zones Authority marks the beginning of a wider rollout, with Bel-Aqua set to take the initiative to more workplaces, schools and communities.

For the brand, the objective goes beyond a single session. It is about creating more spaces where people can pause without guilt, speak without fear and seek support without stigma.

As Bel-Aqua takes the conversation to more Ghanaians, its message remains simple and human:

“Everyone Has a Story… Respond with Hope.”
