Semenyo scored twice and delivered an assist in three matches during August, showcasing the clinical finishing and creative vision that has made him indispensable to manager Andoni Iraola’s tactical setup.

Semenyo’s August heroics began with a dramatic late equalizer against Nottingham Forest, where he scored an 86th-minute equaliser in a 1–1 draw on 17 August.

The Ghanaian’s ability to deliver when it matters most was further demonstrated in the following fixture, where he scored Bournemouth’s first goal of a 3–2 comeback win over Everton at Goodison Park.

However, it was his breathtaking double against Liverpool that truly captured the imagination of Bournemouth supporters and earned him widespread praise. Despite facing adversity at Anfield, where the match was temporarily halted due to crowd disturbances, Semenyo showed remarkable mental fortitude to bounce back and deliver two stunning strikes.

The former Bristol City academy graduate’s performances have been instrumental in Bournemouth’s positive start to the campaign, with his pace, directness, and finishing ability causing problems for Premier League defenses His consistency in front of goal has provided the Cherries with a reliable attacking threat, while his work rate and pressing from the front have aligned perfectly with Iraola’s high-intensity style of play.

Semenyo’s recognition extends beyond individual accolades, reflecting his growing importance to both club and country.

Having secured his place in Ghana’s Black Stars setup, the versatile forward continues to develop his game at the highest level, with his August performances suggesting he is ready to make a significant impact throughout the season.

The award represents more than just individual recognition for Semenyo – it underscores Bournemouth’s ambitions for the current campaign and highlights the quality within their squad.

As the Cherries look to build on their promising start, Semenyo’s form will be crucial to their hopes of establishing themselves as a consistent Premier League force.

With his contract recently extended until 2029, Semenyo’s future at the Vitality Stadium appears secure, providing both player and club with the stability needed to pursue their respective objectives.

His August displays have set a high standard, and Bournemouth fans will be hoping their new Player of the Month can maintain this level of performance throughout the demanding Premier League season ahead.
