Suzzy Pinamang, a second-year student of Adventist Senior High School, has regained her eyesight after undergoing a successful eye surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
The surgery, which took place on June 2, 2025, was fully funded by Ghanaian businessman and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama.
According to Rafik Mahama, Special Aide to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, Suzzy is now on the path to full recovery and has begun regaining her independence. She can see on her own and is steadily progressing in her recovery.
Suzzy’s journey to the UK for surgery was facilitated by Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, who obtained UK visas for her and two relatives.
The Ghana High Commission in London also provided exceptional consular privileges during her treatment.
The successful surgery has brought hope and joy to many Ghanaians, with Suzzy’s family and the public expressing gratitude to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for his generosity and support.
The medical team at Moorfields Eye Hospital played a crucial role in Suzzy’s successful surgery and recovery.
