Women’s Health To Wealth, a non-governmental organisation, with a key mission of engendering healthier and wealthier women for the progress and development of women, has since 2022 supported the District Health Directorate of the Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly to provide quality healthcare to the people, especially women.
In a stakeholders meeting at Mankranso on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Nana Abena Akuamoah Boateng, the Executive Director of Women’s Health To Wealth, said the construction of the WASH (Water Access, Sanitation and Hygiene) facilities in the selected schools is to help keep pupils healthy to enable them concentrate on their studies.

She added that the facilities will increase access to basic sanitation in schools to improve the health and education of students. She noted that the projects involve building a new toilet block, providing access to water sources and promoting positive hygiene behaviours and practices among the girls’ clubs in the schools.
Paul Atsu Agebezudor, the District Coordinating Director of Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, urged the Presiding Member to sensitise the community members to refrain from using the facility, which is meant to be used only by the students during school hours.
Justin Kwasi Gbotor, the District Education Director, expressed gratitude to Women’s Health To Wealth for the projects and promised that the pupils would be sensitised to properly use the facilities and maintain them.
The beneficiary schools are Wioso St. Peter’s JHS, Mankranso D/A JHS “A”, Mpasaso St Peter’s JHS and Kunsu Camp JHS.
The contractor, JONAKOT will commence the construction of the four facilities on July 1, 2025 with a completion date of October 31, 2025.
