Youth advocate and entrepreneur, Princess Jannis Acheampong, has called on young people to embrace entrepreneurship and innovation as key drivers of economic independence and national development.
Speaking at a recent youth empowerment event attended by students and aspiring entrepreneurs, the Chief Executive Officer of the Princess Jannis Foundation and Omega Instant Chocolate Mix encouraged the youth to explore business opportunities and develop solutions that address challenges within their communities.
According to Princess Jannis, entrepreneurship provides a sustainable avenue for young people to create employment for themselves and others, rather than relying solely on the limited job opportunities available in the formal sector.
She stressed that innovation, creativity, and determination are essential qualities needed to thrive in today’s dynamic business environment.
“Young people have great potential to transform their communities through entrepreneurship. With the right mindset, skills, and perseverance, they can build successful businesses and contribute significantly to economic growth,” she stated.
She further emphasized the importance of acquiring practical skills, seeking mentorship, and taking advantage of training programmes and resources available to support startups and small businesses.
She encouraged young people to identify pressing needs within their communities and develop innovative solutions that can be transformed into successful enterprises.
Highlighting the impact of technology on modern business, Princess Jannis urged aspiring entrepreneurs to leverage digital platforms to promote their products and services, expand their customer reach, and compete effectively in both local and international markets.
Participants at the event expressed appreciation for her inspiring message, describing it as both timely and motivating. Many noted that the session had encouraged them to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions and take concrete steps toward achieving financial independence.
In her closing remarks, Princess Jannis advised young people not to be discouraged by setbacks and failures, emphasizing that resilience, persistence, and continuous learning are critical attributes of successful entrepreneurs.
The event formed part of ongoing efforts aimed at promoting youth empowerment, innovation, and entrepreneurship among the younger generation, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence needed to contribute meaningfully to national development.
