Samuel Aryeequaye Challenges Politicians To Tackle ‘Galamsey’ With Same Vigor As NDC Majority Block

Renowned youth empowerment advocate and philanthropist, Samuel Aryeequaye, Director General of One World Nexus, has issued a bold challenge to Ghanaian politicians.

Aryeequaye, known for his tireless efforts in promoting youth development and national progress, has called on politicians to channel the same energy they used to prevent the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from becoming the majority overnight into combating the menace of galamsey (illegal mining).

Aryeequaye’s statement comes at a time when galamsey continues to plague Ghana, posing significant environmental and economic threats.

The practice has led to widespread deforestation, water pollution, and loss of revenue for the state. Despite efforts to curb it, galamsey persists, fueling concerns about the government’s commitment to addressing the issue.

“We’ve seen politicians mobilize resources and energy to prevent a particular party from gaining majority power,” Aryeequaye noted. “If they can do that, why can’t they muster the same level of enthusiasm and dedication to stop galamsey, which is crippling our nation?”

Aryeequaye’s challenge highlights the need for collective action and prioritization of national interests over partisan politics. “Galamsey is a national emergency that requires an all-hands-on-deck approach,”

“We need politicians to collaborate, leveraging their collective influence and resources to protect our environment, water bodies, and economy.” he emphasized.

As a youth empowerment advocate, Aryeequaye recognizes the disproportionate impact of galamsey on younger generations. “The future of our youth is at stake,” he stressed. “We must act now to ensure they inherit a sustainable, thriving Ghana.”

Aryeequaye’s call to action resonates with many Ghanaians frustrated with the slow pace of progress in combating galamsey.

His statement serves as a reminder that the fight against galamsey requires unwavering commitment, leadership, and collaboration.

As Ghana continues to grapple with the challenges posed by galamsey, Samuel Aryeequaye’s challenge to politicians echoes the sentiments of many citizens: it’s time for collective action and decisive leadership to protect the nation’s future.
