‘’It’s Barbaric” — Nana Yaw Fianko Blasts People Who Interrupted United Showbiz Last Saturday.

Host of The Agenda Show — an afternoon political talk show on Atinka Television, Nana Yaw Fianko has condemned the act of some young people who interrupted United Showbiz last Saturday, October 7, 2023.

Some persons who identified themselves as members of the New Patriotic Party invaded the studios of United Television — a medium under Despite Media to attack Kwame A Plus, a regular guest of the show.

On today’s edition of ‘The Agenda Show’ on Atinka Television, Nana Yaw Fianko widely Known in the media space as the speaker described the action as one of the highest forms of barbarism in this modern era. According to him, aside the fact that it is barbaric, it’s also against democratic practices.

In a video monitored by kobbykyeinews, the people who claimed to be members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), said the host had turned “United Showbiz” into a political show and demanded that the host grants them a spot to reflect the party’s interests.

Responding to this, Fianko stated emphatically that their action was absolutely out of order because, no individual or group of people can determine what a media house should do or should not do with force. He says once it’s not against the supreme laws of the country, every media house has the freedom to empanel people to discuss pertinent issues in the country.

According to reports, the invasion lasted for over an hour, police arrived before the show continued. The report has it that some stuff of the media house including the director of photography, one of the producers were assaulted.

Yesterday, the Ghana Journalists Association condemned the incident and called the police to investigate and arrest the culprits. Information gathered by this portal has it that, earlier this morning sixteen persons were picked up by the Ghana police service.
