Hajia Hadiza Charges Ashaiman Youth to Embrace NDC’s Work Abroad Initiative

Hajia Hadiza Salihu, a young and vibrant politician from the camp of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged the youth of Ashaiman to fully support the party’s travel and work abroad initiative.

The program, which was initiated under the governance framework and promoted via agencies like the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), facilitates legal, safe international employment and labor migration for skilled Ghanaian youth and graduates in Western Asia and some European countries.

The Travel and Work Abroad is a transformative initiative designed to unlock international employment and skill-building opportunities for Ghanaian youth.

Speaking at the program’s official launch in Ashaiman on Tuesday, Hajia Hadiza, a staunch member of NDC, reiterated the government’s commitment to solving youth unemployment, adding that under the visionary leadership of President Mahama, the welfare of young people continues to remain his priority.

According to her, the vibrant youth of Ashaiman should leverage this initiative to better their future, stressing the need for young people to remain committed and support this project to clamp down on the rate of youth unemployment.

“President John Mahama has the youth of Ghana at heart. The youth of Ashaiman should understand that this initiative is very laudable, which will help build a better future. We should not sleep on this project because thousands of youth in Ashaiman are unemployed, always complaining about jobs. It is a good opportunity to hop on and make the very best out of it.”

Hajia Hadiza emphasized the importance of using legal means to travel abroad while cautioning the youth against unscrupulous individuals who appear to offer them help without proper verification.

“We should not just walk to anybody desperate for help; the offices are available and accessible for everyone to get the help they need,” she stated.

“With the help of President Mahama, we the NDC are very sure by the end of his tenure, the discussions will be about the number of youth people who have benefited from this particular project. They won’t lament about unemployment and enthusiasm to travel abroad illegally,” Hajia Hadiza added.

Hajia Hadiza in her final speech said, “I believe with the help of this initiative, young people will be gainfully employed and travel overseas legally with the skills they have at hand.”
