Ama Val To Be Honored At Ghana Tertiary Awards 2023

Popular Ghanaian basic school teacher and humanitarian, Janet Asibi has been selected by board and academy of the prestigious Merchant Bank Ghana Tertiary Award to be honored for her enormous contribution to the welfare of brilliant but needy students in many parts of the country.

Janet’s selection for this award came as a result of her hard work, dedication,
commitment and selfless contribution to the development of the country through your Humanitarian Service within the Educational Sector across the country.

This year’s edition of the Ghana Tertiary awards — the highest level of award scheme will be On Friday, 8th December 2023 at the National where All Nominees, Tertiary Students, Corporate Bodies, Government and Nongovernmental, Organizations, Media and the General Public be for the biggest night.

Madam Janet Assibi, often known as Ama Val, is a kindergarten teacher at Akyem Aboabo Presbyterian Primary School in the eastern region of Ghana. She is known as the sewing teacher because aside her teaching duties, she has been donating new school uniforms, footwear, sanitary pads, and other basic necessities that encourage these students to attend school every day.

Jenet, 25, not only donates to her school Akyem Aboabo Presbyterian primary school, but also to many other schools throughout the country. She recently donated school uniforms and other supplies to a school in Nandom, a town in the upper west part of the country. She has made numerous donations. This young teacher is always happy to see smiles on the faces of needy in the society.

Last week, Janet Assibi with her team visited Seseme M/A basic school in the Akatsi South to donate some assorted items including uniforms, bags, shoes and sandals, sanitary pads and other items.
