Award-winning Highlife artiste, Kofi Kinaata, has advised upcoming musicians to concentrate on improving their craft instead of constantly complaining about being sidelined.
Speaking in an interview with Akosua Tilly on Asaase Radio in Cape Coast, the “It Is Finished” hitmaker emphasized that emerging talents should devote more energy to building their music careers and making themselves more visible in the industry.
According to Kinaata, many young artistes often lament being rejected or left out of event lineups. He questioned why such complaints persist, stressing that strong talent and visibility naturally earn artistes spots on big platforms.
Citing an example, he explained that it would be impossible for an event to be held in Sarkodie’s base without him being billed to perform. “So if you’re always complaining, maybe the issue is with your craft—it’s not visible enough,” he said.
Kinaata encouraged upcoming musicians to work harder, remain consistent, and let their music speak for them rather than rely on complaints.
