The much-anticipated Ghalca Top 4 pre-season tournament has been shifted from the Accra Sports Stadium to the University of Ghana Stadium, as the national arena is reserved for the Black Stars’ crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Organizers of the Ghalca Top 4 have confirmed that this year’s edition of the competition will now be staged at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon. The decision comes after the Accra Sports Stadium was set aside exclusively for the Black Stars as they prepare for a decisive World Cup qualifying clash.
The tournament, which brings together four of Ghana’s top-performing clubs from the previous season, is scheduled to run from Wednesday, August 20, to Sunday, August 24, 2025. It
serves as an important pre-season platform for clubs to test their strength, fine-tune tactics, and excite fans ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.
Ghalca officials assured participating teams and fans that all logistical arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth transition to the new venue. Football enthusiasts are expected to throng the UG Stadium for what promises to be an exciting showdown among Ghana’s elite clubs.
