TikToker Arrested For Comments On Ghana’s Military Helicopter Crash Victims

Ghanaian TikToker, Prince Ofori (Fante Comedy) has been arrested by National Security operatives for questioning over a viral video mocking victims of the recent military helicopter crash and issuing threats against NDC Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi and President John Dramani Mahama.

Sources indicate that Fante Comedy was apprehended along with other individuals believed to be connected to the creation and distribution of the video.

The arrests form part of ongoing investigations into the spread of inflammatory content online in the wake of the national tragedy, which claimed the lives of eight military personnel.

Authorities have described the incident as a serious matter, stressing that such conduct not only disrespects the memory of the deceased but also poses potential threats to public order.

The National Security is expected to issue an official statement after initial interrogations.

The arrest has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some calling for stricter regulation of online content, while others have cautioned against suppressing free expression.
