Royal diplomacy is expected to take centre stage as the fifth edition of A Night with the Diplomats brings together diplomats, traditional leaders, business executives and development partners in Accra.
The event, scheduled for December 3, 2026, will be hosted at the Ga Mantse Royal Palace under the theme, “Leveraging Royal Diplomacy for Africa’s Developmental Agenda.”
Speaking at the press launch, Chief Executive Officer of Diplomatic Affairs Media and Communications Limited, Harriet Nartey, said the decision to host the event at the palace was intended to create a platform where diplomacy, tradition, culture and enterprise could intersect.
She said the event would bring together members of the diplomatic community, government representatives, private-sector leaders, traditional authorities, royals and monarchs from Africa and other parts of the world.
According to her, traditional institutions have historically played important roles in preserving culture, facilitating community development and strengthening relationships between communities and peoples.
Ms Nartey said the event would therefore seek to explore how royal diplomacy could complement conventional diplomacy and contribute to Africa’s development agenda.
She said the initiative formed part of a broader vision of Diplomatic Affairs Media and Communications to build platforms that connect people, institutions and ideas across borders.
She also announced that Diplomatic Affairs TV would begin a new television season on Joy Prime in October, with increased focus on economic, tourism and cultural diplomacy, trade and the African private sector.
Ms Nartey urged businesses, diplomatic missions, development institutions and the media to support initiatives that use diplomacy and partnerships to create tangible opportunities for Africans.
