Newly promoted Ghana Premier League side, Port City Football Club, visited the New Life Children’s Home in Nungua, where the club extended their support to the orphanage on Wednesday.
As part of the club’s annual giving initiative, food items and cash were donated to support the children and contribute to their well-being.
The gesture reflects the Kukurantumi-based commitment to giving back to the community as they prepare for their maiden campaign in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League.
The club also held its annual meeting over the weekend, which brought together all stakeholders to review the journey and shape the road ahead.
The Adonteng Royals clinched promotion to the Ghana Premier League in April/May 2026 after a dominant run in Zone Three of the Division One League.
They secured the top spot with 61 points from 26 matches, recording 18 wins, 7 draws, and only 1 defeat.
City will be aiming to establish itself among Ghana’s elite clubs during the upcoming season, and the appointment of Christopher Ennin, an experienced coach, is seen as a significant step towards achieving that objective.
Port City will kick off their new campaign with a home fixture against another newcomer, FC Ashantigold O4, on Sunday, September 6, at the Nana Boamah Darko II Park in Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region.
