The President of the Republic has with immediate effect revoked the appointment of Anne Sansa Daly as a member of the Board of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), citing questionable credentials.
In her place, the President has nominated Prof. Dr. (Med) Ernest Yorke, a respected medical professional.
The Office of the President, in a letter dated May 23, 2025, announced the revocation of Anne Sansa Daly’s appointment to the Board of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

The decision, which takes immediate effect, follows concerns about the authenticity of Daly’s academic and professional qualifications.
According to the letter signed by Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., Secretary to the President, Prof. Dr. (Med) Ernest Yorke has been nominated to replace Ms. Daly on the NHIA Board.
The letter instructed the Ministry of Health to take the necessary steps to facilitate the swearing-in of Prof. Yorke.
Prof. Yorke is widely regarded in the medical field for his extensive experience and contributions to healthcare delivery in Ghana.
His appointment is seen as a move to bolster the credibility and effectiveness of the NHIA Board as it works to improve access to quality healthcare.
The communication was copied to the Vice President and the Chief of Staff, both based at the Jubilee House in Accra.
The revocation underscores the administration’s commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism within key national institutions.
