President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang have paid solemn visits to the families of the victims of the recent military helicopter crash, offering condolences and assuring them of the nation’s unwavering support in their time of grief.
The visits, which took place at the residences of the victims, were marked by moments of reflection, prayer, and comfort as the President and Vice President listened to the families’ concerns and offered words of encouragement.
President Mahama expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing the fallen officers as “true patriots who paid the ultimate price in service to the nation.
“He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the affected families, both emotionally and materially, during this difficult period.
Vice President Opoku-Agyemang also shared her condolences, acknowledging the immeasurable sacrifices made by the soldiers and pledging that their legacies would be honored.
The military helicopter crash, which occurred on August 6, claimed multiple lives and has plunged the nation into mourning, prompting an outpouring of sympathy from across Ghana and beyond.
