OAA 1975 and 1985 Year Groups Donates Science Lab Equipments To Achimota School

The Old Achimotan Association (OAA) 1975 and 1985 Year Groups have donated Science Laboratory equipment to Achimota School as part of their 50th and 40th anniversary celebrations, aiming to enhance teaching and learning at the school.

In a brief media engagement, Dr. Kwame Ampofo, President of the OAA 1975 Year Group, explained that during their anniversary visit to Achimota School, they observed that the Science Laboratory, which was handed over to the school in 2022, lacked the necessary equipment to support effective teaching and learning.

Therefore, when planning their legacy project, they decided to focus on equipping the laboratory.

Dr. Ampofo also took the opportunity to advise Senior High School (SHS) students to be mindful of their behavior and prioritize their education.

He emphasized that students should recognize the importance of their time in school as an opportunity to learn and prepare for the future. He urged them to stay focused on their studies and avoid distractions.

Dr. Ampofo again acknowledged that social interactions may occasionally lead to misunderstandings, but he stressed that these should never escalate into fights or violence among students.

He encouraged them to remain committed to their education and build a solid foundation for their future, reminding them that there is much more to life beyond their three years in SHS.

On the other hand, Dr. Barbara Easmon, President of the OAA 1985 Year Group, also spoke, urging school authorities to take great care of the newly donated equipment, as it was intended to enhance the learning experience.

She called on students to take their education seriously and make the most of the Science Laboratory for their academic benefit.

Meanwhile, the Headteacher of Achimota School, Ebenezer Acquaah, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the OAA 1975 and 1985 Year Groups for their generous donation.

He assured the donors that the school would ensure the proper use and maintenance of the science laboratory equipment to further support the students’ educational development.
