Blogger Kobby Kyei as part of his usual reports on social issues is out again with concerns on a spoilt traffic light at Ablekuma Curve – a peri-urban area located in the Ga Central District of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
Per conversation with some drivers and people who lives around, the traffic light has been in this state for almost three weeks.
In order to ensure the operation of lamps and traffic signals, the Authority thereafter requested action from the Department of Urban Roads, pertinent assemblies, and the Ministry of Energy.
According to National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) research, the Greater Accra Region has close to half non-operational traffic lights.
The Okponglo Junction, Shangrila, Kaneshie first light, Mataheko, Odorkor-Hansonic Junction, and Kasoa-Tetegu junction are among the locations in the area some of the areas in the city with lots of traffic lights issues.
