CHRAJ Advocates For Inclusion Of Persons With Disabilities In Leadership Positions

The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has joined the global community in commemorating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

This year’s celebration comes with a call to action to amplify the leadership of persons with disabilities in Ghana.

According to Dr. Joseph Whittal, Commissioner of CHRAJ, persons with disabilities should be included in leadership positions to ensure their rights are protected and promoted.

This advocacy is in line with CHRAJ’s mandate to protect universal human rights and freedoms, especially those vested in the 1992 Constitution.

CHRAJ has been at the forefront of promoting human rights in Ghana, and this call to action is a step in the right direction.

The Commission has a broad mandate to protect civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights, and this includes the rights of persons with disabilities.

Dr. Whittal’s advocacy is a reminder that persons with disabilities have a lot to offer in leadership positions.

It is essential to create an inclusive environment that allows them to participate fully in decision-making processes.

“As we commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, let us remember the importance of inclusion and accessibility. Let us work together to create a society that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all”

CHRAJ’s call to action is a step towards achieving this goal. Let us support this initiative and work towards creating a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities.
