As the world marks International Women’s Day under the theme “Accelerate Action”, the Managing Director of the Tobinco Media Group (TMG), Ekuba Yankey, has urged women to focus on self-development and readiness for opportunities.
“Be yourself, grow and nurture your abilities. Be prepared and ready for opportunities otherwise when come and you are not ready it will pass you by” – she advised.

She emphasized that leadership does not change a person’s identity but rather enhances their purpose.
“A woman needs to be a woman and never find yourself in their thoughts or any act that you are equal to a man.’
She added that she must blossom wherever she finds herself, be it in business, leadership, or the home.
“A position doesn’t change who a person is. A person grows into the perspective of your calling. So, if you are a Christian woman, you are a godly woman, you are a godly person, know where your purpose is and wherever you find yourself, you are supposed to blossom there”.
