The Young African Women Congress Network (YAWC Network) is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with the African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) Nigeria for the 2026 Young African Women Congress Annual Global Convocation, marking a significant milestone in advancing women’s leadership, justice, and inclusive development across Africa.
This partnership brings together two organizations committed to empowering women and girls through leadership, advocacy, legal empowerment, and sustainable development.
By combining their expertise and shared vision, the Young African Women Congress Network and AWLA Nigeria aim to strengthen conversations around gender equality, women’s rights, access to justice, youth leadership, and policy innovation during the 2026 Global Convocation.
The YAWC Annual Global Convocation will convene distinguished women leaders, legal practitioners, policymakers, entrepreneurs, academics, development partners, youth advocates, and emerging leaders from across Africa and the diaspora.
The event will serve as a dynamic platform for dialogue, collaboration, capacity building, and the development of practical solutions to challenges affecting women and girls across the continent.
Speaking on the partnership, the Founder and Executive Chairperson of the YAWC Network, Daniel Osei Tuffuor described the collaboration as a powerful step toward building stronger institutional alliances that advance the collective aspirations of African women.

The African Women Lawyers Association Nigeria also welcomed the collaboration. The President of the Association, Caroline Ibharuneafe,(Mrs), Esq. emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in promoting legal awareness, protecting the rights of women and girls, and encouraging greater participation of women in leadership and governance.
The 2026 Young African Women Congress Annual Global Convocation will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, leadership masterclasses, policy dialogues, awards and recognition, networking sessions, mentorship opportunities, and collaborative initiatives designed to inspire the next generation of African women leaders.
As preparations continue, the YAWC Network and AWLA Nigeria invite governments, development organizations, corporate institutions, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and partners across Africa and beyond to join this movement in advancing a more equitable, inclusive, and prosperous future for women and girls.
