The Ga State Mankralo and Paramount Chief of the Sempe Traditional Council, Nii Adotey Otintor II, has officially recognized and registered Ubor Magal Kuunboln and his elders as the new leadership of the Greater Accra Konkomba community on behalf of the Ga State.
Ubor Magal Kuunboln, who previously served as the Ashaiman-Tema Konkomba Bassare Chief, was recently elevated to the position of Greater Accra Konkomba Chief.

His introduction to Nii Adotey Otintor II — Chief of the Sempe Traditional Area, President of the Sempe Traditional Council, and Mankralo of the Ga State — took place during a colorful ceremony at the Sempe Palace in Accra.
The event brought together several dignitaries, including former Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations), Kenneth Wujanji, the Olebu Konkomba Chief, and other traditional and community leaders.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Wujanji explained that the introduction was necessitated by the passing of the former Greater Accra Konkomba Chief last year.
“After our late chief was laid to rest earlier this year, the community began the process of selecting a new leader. Our main purpose here today is to officially introduce our new chief to you,” he said.
Nii Adotey Otintor II warmly received the delegation and advised the newly elevated chief to lead with respect, humility, and fairness.
“As a leader, some people will like you and others may not, but love and listen to all of them if you want peace,” he said. “Respect your people, and they will respect you in return. Focus on the youth, and you will enjoy your reign.”
In his remarks, Chief Ubor Magal Kuunboln expressed deep appreciation to Nii Adotey Otintor II and the Sempe Traditional Council for their warm reception and recognition.
He pledged to promote unity and peace within the Greater Accra region, saying:
“We appreciate the warm reception and assurance of support from the Sempe Traditional Council. The unity and peace we enjoy in Greater Accra will be maintained and strengthened under my leadership.”
Chief Kuunboln also extended gratitude to the elders and people of the Konkomba community for their trust and support. “It’s been a week since my installation, but we delayed making it public because we first wanted to pay respect to the custodians of the land.
You cannot be a chief on someone’s land without introducing yourself,” he said. “Now that we have done that, I want the world to know that the Konkomba community in Greater Accra has a new chief — Ubor Magal Kuunboln. Any other claims should be disregarded.”
The ceremony marked a renewed bond between the Konkomba community and the Ga State, symbolizing continued cooperation, mutual respect, and cultural harmony among the two traditional authorities.
