Bricks and Mint Limited, an indigenous Ghanaian company redefining service delivery across engineering, automobile leasing, and general trading has donated items worth 10,000s of Ghana cedis to the Royal Awudu Issaka Football Academy (FC Raisa).
The items presented include 10 packs of bottled water, full set of assorted Nike jerseys and a cheque of Gh₵5,000 when they visited the academy’s training ground on Saturday morning.
The kind gesture formed part of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as giving back to the society, while providing the platform for talent development.
Speaking during the presentation, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bricks and Mint, Ing. Hamidu Augustus Abubakari emphasized on the firm’s continuous support to FC Raisa.
According to him, Bricks and Mint will adopt FC Raisa, highlighting a long term partnership between the two parties as they are keen on talent development, urging them to remain disciplined as a key part of they becoming the future frontiers of Ghana.
Sampson Agyenim Boateng, a US-based Ghanaian and a friend to the Mr Hamidu said he together with his son, also based in the United States touched down in Ghana during last year December while his son (Kwabena Boateng Asante) an ex-US youth team player wanted to donate to a football club.
He encouraged parents to allow their wards to engage in sports, stressing that it ensures discipline, humbleness and respect.
Mr Boateng said his strong friendship with Mr Hamidu paved way for him to support the gesture since his kids practice with FC Raisa, adding that he was elated to know he hails from the same region as Awudu Issaka.
He lauded the initiative by Awudu Issaka to nurture young talent while pledging his continuous support and that of his son to Football development.
Receiving the items, founder of FC Raisa, Awudu Issaka thanked the team for the support, adding that he hopes for a long lasting relationship with Bricks and Mint.
An official of FC Raisa, Auntie Somma thanked the entire team from Bricks and Mint while captain Arnold offered prayers for the team.
The Royal Awudu Issaka Football Academy is owned and managed by Ex-Ghana U17 star Awudu Issaka, a member of Ghana’s U17 World Cup-winning team from the World Youth Championship in Ecuador in 1995.
