Black Stars Jets Off To Chad For Crucial World Cup Qualifier.

The Ghana national football team has departed Accra for N’Djamena, Chad, ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match scheduled for Thursday, September 4.

The fixture marks Matchday 7 in Group I of the African qualifiers, where Ghana currently leads the table with 15 points from six matches.

The squad, led by head coach Otto Addo, held a final training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday morning before flying out in the evening.

The traveling party includes key players such as Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Antoine Semenyo, and Thomas Partey.

Partey’s inclusion in the squad comes amid ongoing legal proceedings in the United Kingdom. The Villarreal midfielder appeared at London’s Old Bailey on September 2 in connection with multiple charges, including rape and sexual assault.

Despite the court appearance, Partey was granted conditional bail and has since joined the national team camp, where he is expected to feature in Thursday’s match.

The Black Stars will hold a final training session on Wednesday at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno, the venue for the upcoming clash.

Ghana will return home to host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8, for Matchday 8.

With World Cup qualification at stake, the team is focused on maintaining its momentum and securing maximum points against a Chad side that has struggled in the group so far.

Coach Addo has emphasized discipline and tactical cohesion as Ghana aims for its fifth World Cup appearance.
