Tragedy Strikes: Students Feared Dead In Bus Crash On Aseseeso Stretch

A devastating bus crash has occurred on the Aseseeso stretch between Adukrom and Somanya, leaving several students from Ben Kunadu SDA Basic School in Asante Akyem feared dead.

The tragic incident happened when the bus, carrying 62 children on an excursion to Akosombo, lost control while descending a hill and somersaulted before landing on its side.

Eastern Regional Minister Rita Akosua Awatey, who was passing by the scene, quickly joined the rescue efforts, helping to transport some of the injured students to Yilo Krobo Municipal Hospital.

Police, Fire Service, and Ambulance teams are currently at the scene, working tirelessly to recover trapped victims and provide medical assistance to those injured.

The news of the bus crash has sent shockwaves through the community, with parents and guardians of the students rushing to the scene to search for their loved ones.

The incident has also sparked widespread concern and outrage, with many calling for improved road safety measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
