“Time To Shine And Prove The Youth Are Capable” — Samuel Aryeequaye Tells Youth Given Chance In Mahama’s Government

Youth Empowerment advocate, entrepreneur and expert in international diplomacy, Samuel Aryeequaye, has called on young individuals appointed to key government positions by President John Dramani Mahama to seize the opportunity and prove that the youth are capable.

In a press statement, Aryeequaye lauded President Mahama’s bold decision to entrust leadership roles to the youth, describing it as a transformative step toward inclusive governance. He emphasised, however, that the appointees must rise to the occasion and deliver results.

“To the youth appointees, this is your moment to shine,” Aryeequaye declared. “The responsibility placed upon you is immense, and your performance will determine whether this bold experiment in leadership becomes a success or a missed opportunity.”

Aryeequaye reminded the appointees that leadership is not an entitlement but a privilege that must be earned through dedication, innovation, and hard work. He underscored that their success will not only reflect on them but will also set a precedent for the inclusion of youth in governance.

“This opportunity comes with accountability. The President has shown faith in the youth, and it is essential that every appointee delivers on their mandate. Your success will inspire confidence in the capacity of young leaders and encourage other institutions to follow suit,” Aryeequaye added.

The statement highlighted President Mahama’s decision as a bold move to redefine governance in Ghana. Aryeequaye commended the president for his foresight and urged other political parties and organisations to emulate his example of empowering the youth to take an active role in national development.

“President Mahama has set the bar for youth inclusion in governance. It is now up to the appointees to prove that the youth are not only capable of participating but also leading effectively,” he noted.

Aryeequaye urged the president to monitor the performance of the appointees closely and take decisive action against underperformance.

He stressed that upholding the principles of excellence is critical to maintaining public trust and ensuring impactful governance.

“While we celebrate their inclusion, appointees who fail to meet expectations must be held accountable. Leadership positions must remain platforms for meaningful impact, not just titles to hold,” he emphasised.

Samuel Aryeequaye called on Ghanaians to rally behind the young leaders and support President Mahama’s vision for a progressive and inclusive Ghana.

He encouraged the youth to see this as a defining moment for their generation.

“This is your moment to shine. The nation is watching, and the stakes are high. Together, let us prove that the youth are not just the future of Ghana but the present drivers of sustainable development,” Aryeequaye said.
