Former First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has once again advanced her commitment to quality education with the commissioning of a modern library facility at Achimota Primary School, where she began her early academic journey.
The commissioning, held on November 26th, marked a moment of pride and nostalgia as she returned to the institution that contributed greatly to her formative years.

The new library is fully furnished with an extensive range of age-appropriate books, computers, and a child-friendly reading area designed to support both traditional literacy and digital learning. School authorities expressed their gratitude, noting that the facility will significantly boost pupils’ interest in reading, research, and creative exploration.
The project is part of The Rebecca Foundation’s broader effort to create conducive learning environments for children across Ghana. Through initiatives that focus on infrastructure, reading promotion, and digital access, the Foundation continues to champion educational development nationwide.
Mrs. Akufo-Addo encouraged the pupils to take full advantage of the new space, reminding them that reading and learning remain powerful tools for shaping their future.
