Plan International Ghana Launches “Stronger Together” Pilot Program

Plan International Ghana has introduced an innovative pilot program dubbed “Stronger Together,” aimed at addressing three critical issues: health, environment, and employment opportunities.

This initiative, supported by the Netherlands embassy, is currently being implemented in Ashaiman, Greater Accra Region, and is expected to run until May 2025.

According to Project Manager Daniel Selassie Agbenoto, the “Stronger Together” program is designed to provide a comprehensive solution to the interconnected challenges of health, environment and employment.

By tackling these issues simultaneously, the program aims to create a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities in Ashaiman.

A key component of the program is Plan International Ghana’s partnership with Sofisana, a company specializing in processing waste products into valuable resources such as biogas and organic fertilizer.

This collaboration will not only promote sustainable waste management practices but also provide education on pollution management, empowering communities to take ownership of their environmental health.

The “Stronger Together” program is committed to creating employment opportunities and promoting economic growth in Ashaiman.

By providing training and education on sustainable practices, the program aims to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive positive change in their communities.

As Plan International Ghana continues to implement the “Stronger Together” program, it is clear that this initiative has the potential to make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and communities in Ashaiman.

By addressing the interconnected challenges of health, environment, and employment, the program is paving the way for a more sustainable and equitable future.
