Parliament of Ghana led the second day of a regional dialogue with Kenya and Togo, exploring ways to strengthen engagement with civil society organizations (CSOs) and promote inclusive lawmaking.

The Coordinating Director of Public Affairs Sub-Division, Madam Kate Addo highlighted mechanisms through which CSOs interact with Parliament, including the Citizens’ Bureau, public hearings, petitions, advocacy systems, and public engagement platforms.
A representative of Kenya’s delegation, Mr. Boonie Mathook shared how public budget hearings and open petitions help connect citizens and CSOs with lawmakers.
