Madina MP Encourages Pregnant BECE Candidate To Be Focused

A pregnant teenager (name withheld) who attends the Otinibi Junior High School in the Greater Accra region is among the over four thousand students sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certification Examination (BECE). Though, she is enjoying strong Protection from people pointing fingers at her. She appears very confident for the exams. She is encouraged to be more focused.

The member of parliament for Madina where the school is located, Francis Xavier Sosu, who has pledged a special scholarship package for the student who will emerge over all best in the Constituency spent time to speak with the young lady and encourage her to put all challenges aside and focus on her education.

The honorable member also visited other centers in the Constituency to observe how the examination is being conducted in La Nkwantanang Madina. He continued to motivate the students with his story many years ago when he sat for the BECE exam with a wet and torn uniform.

“The overall best will enjoy a fully funded scholarship from SHS to University. Take your time to write well and pass. Congratulations” – He promised.

Francis Xavier Sosu finally sent some words of advice to Invigilators to guide the student but not to ‘make the room too hot for them. “Don’t pour sand into their Gari”

Meanwhile, Chairman for Madina Adentan Abokobi chapter of the Ghana National Association of Teachers, (GNAT), Christian Yaw Adinkra, has warned Teachers against Malpractices, saying the Association will not defend them when they are caught.
Yaw Adinkra, revealed that, 17 of their colleagues were interdicted last years and it took many legal battles for the association to defend them.
