Madina Chamber Of Commerce Launched To Boost Local Entrepreneurship

The Madina Chamber of Commerce was officially launched on September 20, 2025, alongside the inaugural “Madina Walks 4 Business” initiative. Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and Member of Parliament Francis-Xavier Sosu led the launch, highlighting government support for private-sector growth in the La-Nkwantanang Madina Municipality.

Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah urged entrepreneurs to tap into their creative potential and work tirelessly towards achieving their business goals. At the launch of the Madina Chamber of Commerce and the “Madina Walks 4 Business” initiative, He emphasized that entrepreneurship is key to driving economic growth and development.

“Business is like a seed that requires proper care, persistence, and determination to grow into something significant,” Debrah noted. “With persistence and determination, even the smallest idea can grow into something remarkable.”

He encouraged entrepreneurs to believe in themselves and their abilities, highlighting that success is within reach with hard work and dedication. “You don’t need formal education or training to succeed in business,” Julius Debrah said. “What you need is the courage to take the first step and the resilience to keep going.”

To support local entrepreneurs, Debrah pledged GH₵500,000 in seed funding for women in the Madina constituency. “This initiative is designed to empower women and stimulate economic activity in the area,” he explained. “We believe in the potential of our women and are committed to supporting them every step of the way.”

The Madina Chamber of Commerce is poised to play a vital role in fostering entrepreneurship and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). “This chamber will provide a platform for businesses to connect, access resources, and advocate for their interests,” Debrah said. “We are confident that it will drive economic growth and create opportunities for local businesses to thrive.”

Debrah reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship, citing initiatives like the 24-hour economy policy. “This policy aims to boost business resilience and promote economic growth in Madina and beyond,” he said. “We are committed to creating an enabling environment for businesses to flourish and contribute to the country’s economic development.”
