Lady Julia Osei Tutu Inspects Progress Of Kumasi Children’s Park Redevelopment

Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of the Asantehene, on Wednesday, June 5, 2025, paid a working visit to the Kumasi Children’s Park to inspect the ongoing redevelopment project aimed at transforming the space into a modern recreational facility for children and families.

Accompanied by a delegation of traditional leaders, city officials, and project stakeholders, Lady Julia Osei Tutu was briefed on the progress and scope of work being undertaken at the site.

Among the dignitaries present were Nana Agyenim Boateng, the Amoamanhene; Hon. Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, Mayor of Kumasi; and Mr. Kwabena Owusu Ababio, Stakeholder Relations Manager of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation.

Also in attendance were representatives from First Atlantic Bank, key project partners, and engineers from ML Complex Construction/Engineering, the firm in charge of executing the redevelopment.

The inspection formed part of efforts to ensure that the transformation of the Kumasi Children’s Park aligns with the vision of creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children within the Ashanti Region.

Lady Julia expressed satisfaction with the progress so far and encouraged all stakeholders to continue working collaboratively to ensure timely completion of the project.

The Kumasi Children’s Park redevelopment is part of broader initiatives by the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation to enhance community spaces and promote youth development through accessible and well-maintained recreational facilities.
