Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West Constituency, Hon. Rudolf Amoako-Gyampah, has cautioned against premature praise for President John Dramani Mahama’s performance.
Despite many Ghanaians expressing satisfaction with the president’s efforts to stabilize the economy and appreciate the cedi, Hon. Amoako-Gyampah believes it’s too early to judge the president’s performance.
In a recent interview on Accra-based Starr FM, Hon. Amoako-Gyampah emphasized that seven months in office is not enough time to evaluate the president’s performance.
“it’s just seven months, and I don’t want to judge him now,” he said.
Instead, he suggested that the government should be given at least a year or two to prove itself.
Hon. Amoako-Gyampah also expressed his skepticism about the current administration’s achievements, stating that they have not done anything different to deserve applause.
He believes that with time, Ghanaians will realize that the current administration is not doing anything new.
The young member of parliament has told Ghanaians to be patient and not rush to judgment about the government’s performance.
Hon. Rudolf Amoako-Gyampah’s cautious approach to evaluating President Mahama’s performance is a welcome perspective.
By giving the government time to prove itself, Ghanaians can make a more informed assessment of their performance and hold them accountable for their actions.
