President John Mahama expressed his commitment to helping the National Defense University reach its full potential during the graduation ceremony of Regular Career Course 63 at the Ghana Military Academy.
He emphasized the importance of enhancing the skills and knowledge of military officers, aligning with the National Defense University’s standards.
The President highlighted key initiatives, including the upgrade of the military academy’s course to a Post-Graduate Diploma program, providing newly commissioned officers with advanced training and qualifications.
He also announced the establishment of the National Defense University with a Presidential Charter, enabling it to pursue extensive teaching and learning, and contribute to the development of effective national defense strategies.
Mahama assured that the government is committed to improving the Ghana Military Academy’s facilities and resources, enabling it to achieve its mandate effectively.
The graduation ceremony, which took place on April 11, 2025, at the Ghana Military Academy, was attended by senior officers of the Ghana Armed Forces. The event marks a significant milestone for the 63rd batch of regular career course officers.
